Last weeks Orange County Jail crusade was nothing short of spectacular resulting in over a hundred new souls being added to the Lambs Book of Life and nearly three hundred men and woman recommitting their lives to Jesus.

There still remains work to be done. It’s time for the prayer warriors to lift the forty-seven souls hanging in the balance. Now comes spiritual warfare as we call to our Father for ALL forty-seven while Satan attempts to quickly gather and steel away the sown seed. Pray the ground sowed was fertile and ready to receive the seed.

Revival would best describe the atmosphere during the crusade. I’m not alone in this feeling having received many emails and calls from members sharing their excitement and pledging to come alongside and grow this ministry. I observed eight new members huddled up with a tract on day one rolling up their sleeves and preparing to go and deliver God’s truth. What a blessing to see the excitement on their faces as they vacated natural earthly worries taking up the holy sword of truth and coming along side us to speak for God. We at Inmate Encounter don’t make it a habit to talk about God when in prison. We speak for God delivering His truth of salvation calling to God souls that will join us in eternity. We are working alongside a divine Spirit – He who is in us and encourages us to go forth and proclaim His truth boldly.

I recently read a book where the author describes joy as always being on the verge of laughter. This described the energy in the room when we came together as a group. I take this job seriously and joyfully watching the Holy Spirit do His
thing within the membership. Santo Stephen’s describes “being ready” as when the foot ball ball is snapped, every player on the line springs into action performing his specific job. During the event, I observed Inmate Encounter spring into action with every member performing his or her specific function.  watched and listened to some of the most excellent platform calls followed up by some of the sweetest fellowship an inmate could receive. I saw first-timers roll up their sleeves and deliver the gospel all the while rekindling the fire and desire in a few of the old-timers. It doesn’t get any better than that. Volusia County Jail is ripe, the vines are bursting, and the harvest will be bountiful. I know this because he who rules this world (the crafty one) has begun his work in attempting to minimize the loss. The ball has been snapped and now is the time for the prayer warriors to lead the offense and pray us into position 100 strong.
