Meet The Team

“I wasn’t always a world champion and while playing football at Albany State College, I made some really bad choices and ended up in prison with a 50-year sentence. I began a serious walk with Jesus in prison and by God’s grace was released after three under a full pardon.”

Matthew 25:43 states: “I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me”. I chose to witness in prison knowing God’s people are there. I too was a prisoner and I know what being alone and locked up with no hope feels like. My mission is to encourage and give hope to those that God blesses and gives new hope through Jesus – true freedom!! Inmate Encounter all about doing God’s work and I am honored to serve alongside faithfully.

God Bless – Rev. James Henderson
